Mini Map Print · 4 × 6 in.
A small illustrated map of Denmark, created as part of my collection of maps inspired by the places, objects, and stories that shape our understanding of a place. Printed at 4 × 6 in., it makes a lovely little piece for a shelf, desk, gallery wall, or tucked into a special corner of your home.
Story about the border 📜
At the heart of Denmark stand the Jelling Stones, two ancient monuments carved during the Viking Age by royal command. The older stone was raised by King Gorm the Old in memory of his son, while the larger stone, commissioned by his son Harald Bluetooth in the 10th century, celebrates Harald’s conversion of the Danes to Christianity and his unification of Denmark and Norway. These stones connect the world of the Vikings with the Denmark we know today—and even inspired the name of Bluetooth technology, designed to unite our modern devices.
