A little map of Delft, years in the making.
It began with reading about Rembrandt and his students, which eventually led me to Delft in 2022. I became fascinated by the city and the artists who lived and worked there, and began immersing myself in the world of 17th-century Delft—its streets, buildings, stories, and paintings.
The map sat unfinished on my studio wall for years. Every now and then I would return to it, adding another street, another building, another little detail. Nearly three years passed before I finally finished this version.
Now, I'm working on an even larger map of Delft.
This small edition is a snapshot of that much longer process—a map of a city I came to know through art, history, and eventually, by walking through it myself.
